A wedding represents a great deal of careful planning, loving attention to detail, and incorporation of the bride & groom’s unique personal tastes. The musical element of a wedding ceremony is an important part of setting the desired mood and atmosphere.
Due to the versatility of the instrument, the harp is a wonderful choice for any ceremony location whether it be indoors in a church or other gathering space, or outdoors in a garden. As a harpist, I am able to adapt to any setting and any ceremony style you may wish to create. My sound is ideal for an intimate family ceremony yet also grand enough to fill a large space accommodating of hundreds of guests. There is also flexibility in how much of the ceremony music is provided by the harp. Some ceremonies have multiple musicians participating in various portions of the service while some have the harp as the only musical component. The harp can sound lovely within a group of players or as a solo instrument.
When you choose a harpist for your event, there are a lot of options in terms of the repertoire available. Please take a look at my repertoire page for specific musical suggestions. Your ideal wedding may be an elegant traditional style or perhaps quite different, incorporating eclectic tastes or modern flare. I am happy to accommodate whatever style you prefer. If your wedding will be held in a house of worship, check with the officiant for any musical guidelines or requirements. If you have questions or concerns as you compile the perfect music to fit your special day, I am always happy to consult directly with brides and assist throughout the process. Generally this is done through detailed phone consultations or email correspondence. Below are some of the additional resources I offer:

Harp music can be a beautiful addition to a variety of events on the wedding day. In addition to prelude & ceremony music, the harp can add a sparkle of lively timbres during cocktails & romantically enhance the atmosphere of a dinner reception. Some brides even enjoy the sound of the harp during post ceremony photos!
